Notes of use

As the LCM consists of glass and polarizer piece, please pay attention as follows while using it:
(1) Please keep the proper temperature in use or storage, otherwise, the polarizer piece may be damaged, bubble or fall off.
(2) Don’t touch, impact or scrub the exposed polarizer piece with HB pencil lead or much harder stuff (such as glass and pot).
(3) Better to use hexane cleaning polarizer piece and reflection piece, because they, as organic compound, are easily damaged while touching acetone, toluene and ethanol.
(4) When the display screen is dusty, carefully clean it with absorbent cotton and other soft detergent like deerskin, which was immersed in normal oil.
(5) Erase saliva or drip immediately to avoid distortion or fade for a long time.
(6) Avoid lipid.
(7) Condensed or touched with air, the polarizer piece may be damaged or dusty. The product must be tested in low temperature and elevated temperature in a vessel before being in outside air.
(8) Don’t place or stick anything on the display area to avoid mark.
(9) Don’t touch display screen to avoid dirtying display area and affecting insulation ability. (as there’s polarizer piece on the surface of some products)
(10) As glass is brickle, pay attention to its fringe, avoiding falling off or vibrating.
Install LCM
Please pay attention as follows while installing LCM:
(1) Add a transparent protecting film to protect polarizer piece and LCD.
(2) Keep enough distance between LCD module and installing board. Please see measurement standard for reference. The measurement tolerance is ±0.1mm.
High-accurately assembled and adjusted, the LCM must avoid being impacted or changed.
(1) Don’t change the aliform shape of the metal frame.
(2) Don’t drill additionally on the printed circuit board or change its parts.
(3) Don’t change or damage the device on the board.
(4) Never change the conduction bar or airproof connector.
(5) Don’t change anywhere by brand iron except the solder place.
(6) Don’t throw, crook or screw module.
Controlling the discharge of static
As LCM has CMOS IC, take care of discharge:
(1) Make sure the LCM earthed safely.
(2) Keep the same potentiometer between you and LCM before remove the package and install it.
(3) Use the band iron of alternating current while jointing and avoid creepage.
(4) Make sure the electrodynamometer is earthed while assembling LCM and reduce hertzian waves by the sparkles of redirector as possible.
(5) Keep your work clothes and desk earthed.
(6) The work place can’t be too dry in order to avoid static as possible. (The relative humidity is suggested to be 50%-60%)
Note of jointing
(1) When joint the lead and connect cable with LCM, please pay attention as follows:
- jointing temperature: 280°C ± 10°C.
- jointing time: 3-4 seconds.
- soldering tin: easily melted soldering tin.
If using solder, you’d better clean the remainder (except the chloride solder). Please use a cover to protect the screen while jointing to avoid any damage.
(2) You can only knock down the backlight and circuit board for less than 3 times while jointing, which is mainly changed according to the temperature and time conditions.
When removing backlight from circuit board, make sure the soldering tin completely melted. Don’t damage the jointing place on the board.
Notes of operation
Pay attention to:
(1) The visual angle changes with VO.
(2) It will reduce the useful life of LCD if using the driver of over-voltage.
(3) It may works slowly in lower temperature, while it doesn’t mean the screen is out of the way, it will be OK in the regular temperature.
(4) The screen may be abnormal when being pressed and will be OK after not being pressed.
(5) If the connection port is condensed, it will cause electrochemistry reaction and short circuit. So you’d better use LCM at less than 40°C and in the condition of 50% humidity.
(6) Make sure of the anode and cathode stable after plugging the BNC connector plugs.
Obviating Malfunction
   A regular LCD apparatus may meet troubles when used improperly, in bad condition, with substandard parts or incorrectly assembled. The main reasons and resolvent are as follows:
1.Obviation of abnormal color
After the use of several hours or days, electrode may change color and make the font become black or brown. The LCD bubbles so that can’t display. Because of too much direct current of the driver voltage, it causes chemical reaction. If not in such condition, you can only change a new LCD display apparatus. At the beginning of this happening, you can also increase its temperature to the storage limit. After cooling, the abnormal font color will be obviated.
2.Obviation of loom
The hidden segments loom on the screen and can’t read. The reasons may be:
Down-lead is dirty. Clean it with a dry small rag.
The air is so damp that the glass surface becomes electric. It will be OK after the room is dry.
The affiliated circuit or relating electrode is not connected. Re-assembled is OK.
The square-wave of alternating current is not symmetrical. Changing its scope will be OK.
Conduction bar is not in good position and of bad insulated performance. Change another one.
3.Obviation of bad contrast
The contrast is too bad, or LCD display disorderly or completely. Generally speaking, because the relating electrode is not connected. Re-assembled is OK.
4.Obviation of disordered display
Obviating outside interfere will be OK.
5.Obviation of complete display
The encoder is regular but LCD displays all pixels. May because the relating electrode is not connected or connected wrongly, or connected to the direct current.
6.Obviation of missing strokes
Because the down-lead of pole and Conduction bar are dirty.
Clean them and don’t touch the clean place.
As its fringe broken, the glass may scrub down-lead.
Because the assembled press frame is improper.
7.Obviation of abmormal display
Maybe because the relating electrode is not connected, driver is direct current, the connection is not so good or there’s no battery. We can resolve the trouble according to different reasons.
8.Obviation of desultory display
The function is disorder, and LCD displays desultorily. Maybe because voltage is abnormal or there is no battery. At that time, we can change a battery.
